These Terms of Service govern the eulogy writing services provided by Farewell Script, operated by Alex Altman. By engaging my services, you agree to these terms. If you have questions about anything here, please reach out before proceeding.
Services
Farewell Script provides custom eulogy writing services. Every engagement includes a 30-minute consultation (by phone, video, or in person), a first draft delivered within 48 hours of the consultation, and two rounds of revisions. Additional services are available as described below.
Pricing
Services are priced by eulogy length:
- Remembrance (2–3 minutes): $400
- Tribute (4–5 minutes): $600
- Legacy (6–8 minutes): $750
- Rush Delivery (less than 48 hours from consultation): +25% on any tier
- Delivery Coaching (optional add-on): $100
Payment is due prior to delivery of the first draft. I will confirm payment details when you engage my services.
Revisions
Two rounds of revisions are included with every eulogy. I will work with you to refine the draft until it feels right. If you would like to add something after the draft has been delivered, reach out directly and I will do my best to accommodate.
Rush delivery
Rush delivery (less than 48 hours from consultation to first draft) is available for a 25% surcharge on the tier price. Rush orders are subject to availability. Please reach out as early as possible if your timeline is urgent.
Confidentiality
All information you share with us, including personal details about your loved one, is held in strict confidence. I will never share, publish, reference, or use your loved one's story for any purpose other than writing your eulogy, without your explicit written permission.
Ownership
Upon receipt of full payment, you own the eulogy I write for you. All rights to the work transfer to you at that point. I retain no right to use, publish, or reference the eulogy without your permission.
No guarantee of outcome
I am committed to delivering thoughtful, high-quality work and will collaborate closely with you throughout the process. However, I cannot guarantee any specific emotional response, reception by an audience, or other outcome. My obligation is to deliver a well-crafted eulogy based on the information you provide.
Limitation of liability
Farewell Script's liability in connection with any services provided is limited to the amount paid for those services. I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of my services.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or my services will be resolved in the courts of Oakland County, Michigan.
Changes to these terms
I may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of my services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
